More information: Heart of England Co-operative Concert Orchestra

Following a hot summer of practice, and a successful concert in Coventry Precinct, Heart of England Co-operative Concert Orchestra is back to celebrate autumn with a classical concert. Join the orchestra at 7.30pm on 15 October at Coventry Central Methodist Hall.

Under the musical direction of Mark Wooton, the musicians will whisk you away on a whirlwind tour to the Orient, across Russia, and to the Wild West in an exotic programme including Borodin’s Prince Igor and Rogers’ The King and I. And for a trip down memory lane, see how many nursery rhymes you can recognise in Roger Quilter’s lilting Children’s Overture.

Now in its 97th year, the orchestra has been bringing music to Coventry since 1917, and is proudly sponsored by the Heart Of England Cooperative Society. Local musicians of all ages come together weekly to rehearse, share their love of music, and put on concerts in aid of charity. All proceeds from the concert will go to the Myton Hospice.

Tickets on the door: adults £6, concessions £5.
