Former Tennis Player Adam set out on starting his own business after realising that the career wasn’t for him. From the age of 12, Adam represented Great Britain and trained for several years at IMG Academies in Flordia and Sanchez –Casals tennis Academy in Barcelona, who produced the likes of Maria Sharapova and Andy Murray! Adam even completed a year at UCLAN University studying the sport. The decision to leave university and tennis behind and embark on his own business venture was driven by his desire to achieve a similar venture that his father Keith did, but by utilising modern day technology. Therefore, Gifts4You is based solely online and operates as an e-commerce site that sells over 9000 gifts, all the way from handbags to mugs. With a vast array of branded and licensed merchandise, such as big Disney names including Frozen, Manchester United and Warner Brothers to name a few, as well as offering an exclusive selection of personalised gifts, Gifts4You has the unique selling point of catering for every demographic of consumer, women, men and children. This makes Gifts4You.TV the perfect one stop destination online for gift purchases, which will certainly cure those Christmas shopping headaches that are lurking just around the corner!
Adam hopes that working with Virgin Startup will help him establish his business as not just a distinguished e-commerce site for gifts, but as a business that supports a broad range of charities. The desire to help and provide a platform for charities to raise money has been a deep rooted devotion for Adam since losing his sister Vanessa to leukaemia. Since her diagnosis, Adam and his Family have strove to do all they can to raise money for various causes, the most prominent of which has been their work for the hospital Vanessa was treated in, which raised around £50,000 and was put towards great causes such as equipment for premature babies and support for children battling the disease.
The wholehearted dedication to giving something back is something that separates Gifts4You from all the other gift stores out there. Virgin Start Up commented; “It’s great that Adam Maddock is progressing his business, Gifts4You.TV and we are delighted to have been able to support his journey with mentoring and advice.” Adam’s aspirations for his business are to not only make gift shopping easier, but to get as many charities involved as possible. Adam remarks; “We would like to expand to become an international brand and help charities all around the world by becoming one of the leading ecommerce sites.”
If you are a charity or any organisation looking for an extra revenue stream that would like to get involved and enquire about partnering with Gifts4You.TV, or would simply like to know more information, you can contact Adam Maddock on adam@gifts4you.tv or visit
