Sonder UK launches #projectunity

Sonder UK are pleased to announce the launch of #projectunity following their acceptance into A-Fest, the global invite-only summit for leaders of thought and business. #projectunity aims to unify people through the sharing of experiences, from which growth and inspiration can be achieved. Oftentimes we as people look to famous and well known people to share their lessons so that we may emulate and hopefully achieve similar. However this lends to positive bias where just because one person became hugely successful on the back of one technique doesn’t mean that it worked for the thousands of people from whom it didn’t work and we don’t hear. #projectunity addresses this: Sonder UK are looking for the everyday people with extraordinary stories, those who don’t have a voice – those who have had to endure so much and yet still keep on keeping on. People who have been looking after loved ones with terminal illnesses, those who have come back from bankruptcy, those who have lived in war-torn countries and still managed to stay positive for example: people whose stories would otherwise be ignored. We believe everyone has inspiration in them – and it doesn’t always need to be the ‘big stuff’: for example, a young Muslim successfully coming out as gay. One things that unites us as humans is that we all share similar emotions, notwithstanding cultural differences – and Sonder UK want to collect and be a voice for this. They want to be a vehicle for people to either anonymously or otherwise share their story. Sometimes it’s the little things that makes a huge difference. #projectunity allows anyone from anywhere to submit their experience, their thoughts, their inspiration for publication on their ever growing online free resource library.
