Scots are uniting with thousands of people in over 130 cities across the globe asking the world to shun ivory, rhino horn and lion bones as commodities. Poised to be the largest demonstration of its kind, the Global March for Elephants and Rhinos (GMFER) on the 24th of September will serve as a clarion call to the member nations of CITES to vote in support of APPENDIX 1 and vote AGAINST trade on the opening day of CoP17 in Johannesburg. GMFER will also raise awareness and ask all governments to publicly destroy their stockpiles of illegal wildlife products, demonstrating zero tolerance for ALL manner of trade.
